The AGO Study Group

The AGO Study Group has been established in 1993 as a non-profit organisation under the original name ‘AGO Studiengruppe Ovarialkarzinom (AGO-OVAR)’. The group’s initial objective was to enhance the therapy of ovarian carcinoma. Starting from 2007, the group has also been occupied with other tumour diseases of the external and internal female genital organs(e.g., the neck and body of uterus).

The main tasks of the AGO Study Group include the initiation and implementation of clinical studies, the organisation of advanced training measures, and the collaboration in national and international expert groups. With more than 250 university and non-university medical facilities throughout Germany participating in our studies and an intensive cooperation with international groups, the AGO Study Group is one of the most powerful study groups in the field of gynaecological oncology worldwide.
